Here are some really "fun" ways to play with your packaging. The ways in which the product can literally use the product to play help the packaging. Using the creative design can actually integrate the product to play on the products image or identity. When the product is directly used in the packing the consumer can use it directly relate to that image.
Using the cord to actually create part of the music note. This lets you not only touch and see the product but allows you to act on the actually "music" idea.
Creating a bottle with a pealing label that revels the actual bottle. Again creating a texture feel and "feeling" behind the bottle.
The company packages the t shirt to physically look like a head of lettuce. Than unfold to a interesting design for the t shirt.

Designs like these really help create interest for a product. I really like most of the designs in the examples. The tea hanger, the Bees' Knees and Butter packaging are my favorites in particular. Some of the designs are perhaps overly ambitious, but some seem to be in the golden zone of artistically compelling and pragmatic.
ReplyDeleteThese are all really cool. The musical note one is probably my favorite--it gives the best feel for what the product is. These kind of remind me of the new headphones that are waterproof and are sold in a full water bottle.
ReplyDeleteWhy in the world ever would someone wear lettuce? The other designs are appealing and I can see how they would sell, but I cannot see someone wearing a head of lettuce around their neck. I really enjoy the bottle peeling, I think that would be really fun and interesting. I can see how they would sell well in a limited edition situation.
