Swiss Packaging Design

Simple, Efective, Swiss.

My entry this week is on the fabulous design of the swiss. Particularly on packaging design with swiss roots. Swiss design is characterized by bold type bold color and bold shapes. Below are some examples of swiss packaging design that I found whilst researching this fantastic subject.

These paint cans caught my eye because of their stark contrast with the colored drop

  1. I really like the simplicity of the designs of these containers. I like design that uses as little detail as possible, it is much cleaner and simple to read and understand. I think that the use of San-serif typefaces on most of these containers contributes to the simple design and balances it out.

    Very nice find.

  2. I've always found Swiss design to be a very interesting style. The grid system is so strong that it allows for such simple designs that are usually very successful. I sometimes struggle with creating a strong grid system, so seeing Swiss design is very inspiration and is a great example of strong organization.

  3. These Swiss designs are very simplistic, I like that. The Swiss design doesn't need graphics to make it stand out. It sort of reminds me of Target brand food, how they design their packaging so simplistic too.
