Hey guys, I just wanted to take a minute to talk to you all about web design. Web design is a awesome process where one uses code to create websites that are visually appealing to the human eye. I believe that some people even believe that the websites themselves are pieces of art when you just sit there and look at them. I know that is how I feel about it when I look at my website that I made from scratch. The factors that go into making a website are very time intensive and it requires a lot of hard work and dedication to get that exact site that you are in-visioning in your head. Some of the steps required are sketches, roughs, templates, and wire frames. A lot of things that are needed to create a website are things that you can think about while you are making other aspects of the website.
I love making websites it is something that for some odd reason just allows me to be alone and at one with my inner designer. As stupid as it sounds it makes me feel good when I am designing them. It is more of a creative outlet than creating pictures, or creating logos, because for one, you are actually creating the website, the logos, the pictures. It is pretty much graphic design in a nutshell. I really enjoy this field and I hope to one day pursue a career in web design, after my career with the military is complete.
I can relate to that, Michael. I've been doing web design for over 13 years, and I love doing it. It really allows you to get creative. Being able to present any given amount of information within a limited shell, while still maintaining good aesthetics is a skill to be sure.
