Creative Business Cards

I love how creative business card designs can be today. As companies and individuals become more and more competitive, their over all appearance becomes crucial to their success.

The divorce lawyer card makes you think even though it is so simple. Creating a card with a perforated line down the middle does not take much effort but the thought behind it is ingenious. I also find it impressive when designers use different materials like used business cards and elastic. I think the most important function of a business card is giving the customer something to remember. Someone will definitely remember an interactive personal trainer card over a standard black and white one.

Business card designs have come a long way and continue grow in importance. I wonder if someday the standard 3.5"x 2" small text look will no longer be the norm.

  1. I love these creative business cards! The one that tears apart is my favorite, especially since it is for a divorce lawyer. It makes it memorable. I also like the stretchy one. These both are great examples because of the unique way they are presented.

  2. I really like these kind of creative business cards they are so simple yet so amazingly interesting at the same time. A company with the ability to advertise themselves, to get their name out there in an interesting and memorable way has truly adapted to todays culture.

  3. I am seeing more and more of these designs in not only business cards but in almost every small aspect of designing like invitations for events or even table decor at events. I like that designers are evolving and thinking more and more out of the box. The more literal the cards are to the chose idea presented, the more successful they are. I am very curious to see where designing like this will get us when we are in the big world.

  4. Those are some fine examples of the seemingly mundane items that designers can add thought and depth too. It's like making your advertising work double time for your benefit.

  5. Having your business card being somewhat interactive can bring smile to your clients face, thus leaving a memorable and lasting impression. Which is the whole idea of a business card. Ideas like this are what keeps my interest in the design world.

  6. I love the idea of these unique business cards. Most people tend to take a card and completely forget about it, because they are just boring and the same as every other. But turning it into something that's a little more interactive will definitely have a stronger impact, and they'll be more likely to remember when they need their services.

Plus there's a little bit of humor in them, which is a nice touch.

  7. I've seen so many examples of creative business cards and it makes me so happy every time. Much of the corporate world seems to have kind of a boring look to it. It's why we need designers with creative ideas. If you've ever seen "American Psycho" they have a scene involving business cards and they all look exactly the same but to these men who aren't designers, they look like marvelous innovations. Everybody here should strive to make a creative and interactive business card for their first career, yes?

  8. Those are awesome, though a bit daring. Some of these could definitely elicit strong feelings either way, so you definitely have to be aware of your audience when designing!

  9. I think one of the most important aspects in having a successful business with a wide variety of clients is to have a memorable or a keepsake business card. This could be as simple as making your business card into a magnet that someone can put on a fridge or something that someone will keep just because it's different or they can actually use it. A lecture last semester from a former NAU student had the importance of creating something that the audience will not want to throw away and I think that's what these business cards are accomplishing.

  10. The thought of interactive business cards never occurred to me, some of those are absolutely incredible. Having an interactive card that might not make much sense to begin with, such as the personal trainer one, would possibly draw more attention to it. Seeing something completely out of the norm would most likely catch their attention, then after grabbing it they'd find the message. Fantastic idea!

  12. These are so cool! I love how the divorce one splits in half, haha. It definitely makes it more fun and more unique. It makes one stand out as a designer and a creative thinker as well.

  13. I was looking at business card designs just last week because of a project that had come up, and I have to say the interactive cards definitely held more appeal for me. It's true that they might cost a little more, but the most important aspect about meeting a potential client is the lasting impression you leave when the meeting is over. For designers it's especially important to leave a good impression and have a well thought-out and aesthetically pleasing card! I feel like business cards are another way to advertise your work, design a card that expresses you and is still interactive (glows in the dark, splits in half, or whatever you'd like).
